TEFRA Care Coordination

Fueling dreams for future generations.

Because every child deserves the best start.

TEFRA* Medicaid allows states to extend certain in-home Medicaid services to children with disabilities regardless of their family income.

The purpose of the TEFRA Medicaid category is to allow children needing a high level of care to live at home rather than in a medical institution like a nursing home.

Frontier offers assistance for families with children, birth to 19, in accessing Medicaid for a child if the family does not qualify for Denali Kid Care.

* TEFRA comes from the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982.
